Explore the magic of group coaching
It is not easy to implement a set of values and a vision in our lives. Especially when we try to do everything on our own, it’s easy to get burnt out, frustrated and exhausted. Imagine what would happen if you had the power and energy of a certified coach and an entire community behind you as you explore what is possible and as you create the roadmap of bringing it to life…
This is where group leadership & career coaching comes in! I founded Annette Blum Person Coaching & Consulting to assist professionals with connecting to their values in order to create and pursue their vision. I created Thrive to bring people to do this in connection with other people to support and drive each other’s success.
Empower your Life
it is not easy to immediately implement a set of values and a vision in our lives. The journal, Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, found that only 20% of people have a clear vision for their lives. This suggests that it is indeed difficult for many people to set values and vision. As human beings, we prefer laidback lives and to be care-free, and having to put in additional work sounds so boring and tiring.

How is racing cars like coaching?
Leadership coaching and racecar driving are more alike than you might think.
A lot of people come into coaching feeling nervous – not knowing what to expect. They wonder how to prepare or if they’re going to have the “right answers” to the questions their coach asks. Luckily, a coach is lot like a BMW driving instructor – patient, communicative and knowledgeable.
Boundaries that build us up
I love boundaries. Boundaries do not stop me from evolving; they allow me to have greater impact, to learn and to grow without getting overwhelmed and anxious.
As a coach, I help my clients define and set their own boundaries in order to make the vast space they are navigating more manageable.
Team Morale & Energy Boost (part III)
A ritual or routine not only creates a sense of belonging, but also is scientifically proven to improve attention and execution and increase emotional stability and confidence.
These valuable tools can be simple, as long as they are consistent.
Team Morale & Energy Boost (part II)
We all know communication is critical when it comes to successful teamwork. But not everyone communicates in the same way. It can be depleting to try over and over to collaborate with team members without responses or the results you expect. Not only does this slow down achieving team goals, but it causes resentment, detachment and irritation – all which lead to burnout.
Team Morale and Energy Boost
If you’re feeling depleted by work challenges, current events or personal struggles, you’re not alone; and it’s likely that your team is feeling similarly.
Over the next couple months, I’m excited to share some tips on boosting team morale and energy – in a way that feels good and authentic to you.
Surround yourself with power
When I heard the incomparable Peloton instructor Robin Arzon say "Surround yourself with people whose DEFAULT ACTIONS reflect your DESIRED OUTCOME" on a ride recently, it truly resonated with me. Our inner leader combines the strengths that we appreciate in others that we believe can help us to accomplish our own goals.
The gift of listening
Active listening is one of the most generous ways we can support each other.
Why Coaching? Why Now?
If the past 18 months have taught me anything, it’s that we can’t wait to make things happen.
Making anti-racism part of our lives
There are people who have read more, gone to more protests, written, called, canvassed more and those who are more articulate and active on social media. But that didn’t matter; what mattered was gathering a group of people, understanding the situation based on three individuals’ research and lived experiences and committing to action.
The Environmental Impact of the Pandemic - and what we can do
If there’s one thing most people can agree on, it’s that the Coronavirus and resulting global shutdown have given earth a chance to take a deep breath.
Building, Growing, and Maintaining Community Online
We have less face to face interaction and are challenged to find new ways to maintain our relationships, gather information and promote creativity and innovation.
Crisis Mode: Supporting our Most Vulnerable Neighbors
Sometimes, the best way to change your outlook is to focus on helping others. When we reach out to people who have true need, we are able to recognize what we have.
